London : Edinburgh John Priestley Associates Expert Witnesses And Construction Technology Consultants

Introduction

John Priestley Associates works internationally as Architectural Experts and Construction Technology Consultants. The practice undertakes a wide range of architectural and construction appointments for Building Owners, Architects, Contractors, the Legal Profession and Insurers.

In many instances this involvement extends  to providing expert opinion and  construction advice in Mediation, Arbitration and Litigation, and appointment as  expert witness in these proceedings.

Our Experience

The practice membership has been involved as Architectural experts in construction Arbitration and Litigation actions since 1985, and believes that our experience in this field reduces the time input necessary to complete our expert reports, and the time required of our clients' legal advisers in considering the relevant technical issues and expert witness matters.

Awareness of the need to combine technology with architectural design has resulted in the growth of a technical consultancy service at the design stage, with the aim of avoiding future failure.

The practice also advises on appropriate remedial works, the design and specification of such work and the administration of appropriate construction contracts.

The practice membership has extensive technical experience with regard to external envelope design and construction, all forms of flat and pitched roofs, curtain walling and cladding, windows, rising and penetrating damp, condensation, internal and external finishes, flooring including access flooring, fire precautions, acoustics, sound insulation and noise control.
